Cooling device of noncontact current collecting induction coil for superconductive magnetic floating railway vehicle

Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to cool the induction coil of the superconductive magnetic floating railway vehicle without providing any forced cooling means by a method wherein the induction coil is made to come in contact with and is fixed to a damping sheet making the heat resistance to be reduced thermally to the minimum. CONSTITUTION: The damping sheet 10 is equipped as to cover the confronting the bottom facing a ground coil 3 for floating and also as to cover the confronting side face with a ground coil 4 for propulsion and guidance of a cryostat 2 containing a superconductive electromagnet, and one end thereof is extended up to the inside of the induction coil 6 and is inserted between the induction coil 6 and the body 1 of the car. At this case, the thermal conductivity between the induction coil 6 and the damping sheet 10 is made to be favorable to the maximum. Accordingly because the heat generated in the induction coil 6 is radiated to the damping sheet 10, the induction coil 6 has be cooled. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
