Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain sintered bodies of high density and uniform quality with low cost, by supporting the sleeve which divides the polygonal hole at the central part of die with the lower punches so that the sleeve may be moved freely. CONSTITUTION: Square hole 22 piercing through the central part of die 21 is installed, and this hole 22 is divided by sleeves 26 and 27 which are supported by lower punch 23 so that independent holes having a prescribed width may be obtained. Sleeves 26 and 27 can be moved freely along the direction of arrow (g) within the range of tolerance of dimension of hole 22 of die 21, sleeves 26 and 27, and lower punch 23. Even when there is error or variance in weighing of powdered body 24 to be put into each hole, the thickness of powdered body can be maintained constantly by changing the width dimension of each powdered body 24 by moving sleeves 26 and 27 by setting upper punch 25 and performing hot press. Namely, a constant pressure is impressed on each powdered body and sintered body having a uniform density is obtained. Moreover, the surface of die 21, upper and lower punches 25 and 23, and sleeves 26 and 27 is coated with BN. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
